» Contemporary Tantra

Contemporary Tantra is a concept that covers wide aspect of activities, characterized by the synthesis of Eastern mysticism and Western psychology and psychotherapy.

Therefore the present is a skillful completion of Eastern and Western sciences about human nature. This synthesis constructs a new quality, which evolve and goes beyond it limits.

This means that contemporary tantra is no longer an esoteric and hermetic religion of ancient India nor is it psychology or psychotherapy.  It is a connection of these pragmatic components. It uses the tools that both civilizations and cultures have created to create a contemporary and adequate for our need ways for human evolvement.

Osho can be called the father of modern tantra.  The twentieth century Hindu teacher, was the first, on such a scale, who challenged and combined Eastern and Western teachings.  He directed his offer to the West, where a lot of people answered his call.  It is important to notice that although Osho lived half a century ago, there are still a lot of people that follow and use his teachings and techniques.

Never the less we have to acknowledge that not every tantra, nowadays is a contemporary tantra.  Thus there is the need to differentiate.  There are a number of tantra teachers, who derive their linage of specific schools, which have their roots in ancient India, or Tibet. This also happens with the Buddhist Tantra, which is popular in the West, but is a specific and an explicit path of development strictly inscribed in the Eastern culture and religion.

What is common in all Tantra is the pursuit of freedom.  Or in other words, the practice of freedom that all of us inherently has.

Variety of Modern Tantra is as much as many there are teachers. There is no single way that codified contemporary Tantra. Each new teacher develops in his own way what he has learned from his teachers. This is the way it goes.  We learn and transform their experience and then we pass them on.

It is also typical for the most modern tatnra teachers, to use the techniques for personal and spiritual growth, which they have learned and incorporate them in their proposals. Therefore – and this is important – there aren’t two approaches, which are the same.

The contemporary tantra, which we present, we named TantraLove.   In it we focus on happiness in life.  This happiness is associated with awareness of our own way. With the exploration and skilful usage of the talent, which each of us has been given.  That is why we emphasize the harmony between absolute feeling and understanding of what is felt. From this perspective, TantraLove is a unique proposition, precisely because of the skillful combination of tools which enhance the awareness of the psychology by taking into account the elements of our cultural background and conditioning.  It also becomes an attractive “filling the blanks” in our educational system of how to live and how to create happy relationships.
